Empoli Coach Marco Giampaolo warns Milan are “a different team” after recent results.

The Tuscan side welcome the Rossoneri to Stadio Carlo Castellani tomorrow, with the visitors coming off the back of an impressive win over Fiorentina.

“The Rossoneri have seemed like a different team in recent games,” Giampaolo acknowledged in his pre-match Press conference.

“They seem transformed, also in terms of how they play. We have a similar number of points, those are the facts, but we can’t talk about a direct confrontation.

“We’ll play as we always do, with the right ambition, but we can’t describe it that way.

“They’ve changed their way of thinking and acting on the pitch, I’ve noticed different things.

“They dominated against Fiorentina, and they’re also top in terms of dribbling. We’re playing against a renewed Milan.

“We need to put in an excellent performance, we can’t be below our maximum.”

Empoli defender Federico Barba has been linked with a move to Inter, but Giampaolo is hopeful he’ll stay.

“I hope he doesn’t leave, just as I hope all the others don’t leave. I hope to get to May with the current players I have available.

“I haven’t asked the club for any replacements.”
