Flaco played in PSG’s win over Rennes in the Coupe de la Ligue last night, and his Coach was inevitably asked about the rumours in his post-match Press conference.
“I discussed it with him yesterday [Monday],” Emery revealed.
“He was ready and focused to play. In his head there is the possibility of leaving, but I asked him again today if he was in the right frame of mind to play and he said yes.
“I’m very happy with the way he worked in the first half, then he asked to come off with some slight muscular pain.
“He’s told me he has the chance to leave, but was very focused and very involved.
“There are three considerations for his future: my responsibility to the team, what the player thinks and what the club thinks.
“I have my opinion and I gave it to everyone. After that it depends on the club and the player. I can’t say more than that, it’s not my responsibility.”
