Multiple reports in Italy claim Inter believe in Francesco Acerbi but are ’embarrassed’ by the dispute with Juan Jesus and will firmly react if the Italian defender is found guilty of racism.

La Gazzetta dello Sport, Il Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport report Inter are waiting for the outcome of a FIGC investigation over alleged racist remarks made by Acerbi during a Serie A game between the Nerazzurri and Napoli on Sunday.

If the Nerazzurri defender is found guilty, he’ll be banned for at least ten games, so his season will be over.

Inter directors spoke to Acerbi on Tuesday, and the FIGC Prosecutor will hear the Italy international on Friday. According to Gazzetta, Acerbi told Inter directors that he had told Juan Jesus ‘Ti faccio nero, ‘ an Italian expression that means ‘I’ll kick our a**’ and is not racist.

The pink paper claims Inter believe in their defender but will strongly react if the 36-year-old is found guilty. Acerbi could be fined, and the club may even question his future at the club if he receives a lengthy ban.

Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport report the same.

CorSport claims the Serie A leaders are embarrassed by the dispute, especially because anti-racism is the core of the club’s identity.

As per Tuttosport, Inter sent a clear signal to Acerbi, given that they should have released a statement after Tuesday’s meeting with their player. On the contrary, they remained silent, suggesting that they were not entirely in sync with Acerbi.
