Manuel El Shaarawy, the player's brother and agent, has emphasised yesterday's declarations that mercato rumours weren't true by stating today that Il Faraone is ‘at the centre’ of Milan's projects.
“I have not been contacted by Borussia Dortmund, nor by Roma, nor by any other club,” the representative told Gianluca Di Marzio’s website.
“Stephan will not leave Milan in January unless there is a sensational offer, the type that no-one can be sure will arrive.
“Being left on the bench is part of the game. Stephan greatly appreciated what [Coach Filippo] Inzaghi said about him in his Press conference.
“He is at the centre of the Milan project, and the relationship with the Coach and the environment is excellent.”
The agent also denied that the Italian international is having a difficult moment, claiming he only needs to score a little more.
“He's in a good condition physically and mentally, but he must unblock himself.
“He gives great support to the team in the defensive phase, which sometimes detracts from his lucidity when he gets in front of the goal.
“Of course when your job is to be a striker, the target is to get a number of goals that is at least in the double digits.
“At the end of the season we'll sit down together with Milan and we'll evaluate how the year went, but we don't have any special meeting planned at the moment, nor did the club tell me anything in particular.”
The agent was asked in closing where he'd like to see El Shaarawy playing if he were to leave Milan.
“I don’t know his preferences, we have not discussed the subject. Personally, in the event that he should ever leave Milan, I’d love to see him play in England, because the Premier League is a fascinating League.”
