Marco Fassone reiterates that stadium plans are being considered, and says Inter ‘will fully respect’ Financial Fair Play this January.

The club director has added his input to a question that has already been linked to President Erick Thohir and CEO Michael Bolingbroke – that of a property stadium as an option for Inter.

“I must say that the talk surrounding this topic is plenty, but we're still behind,” said the Nerazzurro to Sky Sports.

“We are only evaluating options and we're also waiting for Milan's decision.

“The stadium is in our plans – whether it's going to be a completely new structure or a modernised Meazza is something we do not yet know, but it's one of our priorities – for President Thohir too.”

Fassone also considered the question of UEFA Financial Fair Play regulations, which Inter are at risk of falling foul in the coming months following investigation.

“The rule has been active since 2010, but perhaps we all pretended that it did not exist and we only realised the truth now, as the first sanctions fell through.

“This is an important moment, we are being controlled by UEFA and we are in a dialogue with them.

“We have presented our plans and we are waiting.”

The Inter director ended by spending a few words on the mercato, but did not make any specific names.

“We will try to satisfy our Coach, and not just him. Some additions could be useful, but if someone were to arrive then it would mean that we have worked closely within the rules. We'll see…”
