Il Faraone has been at the centre of a variety of mercato rumours, even as Coach Filippo Inzaghi has been categorical in stating that the player's future is at Milan.

Notwithstanding Inzaghi's statements, Il Quotidiano Sportivo reports today that the purchase of winger Alessio Cerci from Atletico Madrid makes El Shaarawy's departure a more realistic eventuality.

To this end Milan are seen to have fixed an asking price for the 22-year-old at €15m.

There have been rumours involving El Shaarawy of a swap with other strikers such as Roma's Mattia Destro or Borussia Dortmund's Ciro Immobile.
