Sampdoria striker Eder wants to “leave the transfer market aside”, despite speculation of an Inter move.

The 29-year-old has 11 goals in 18 appearances for the Blucerchiati this season, and it’s thought the Nerazzurri are keen to bring him to San Siro this January.

“I’ve had good and difficult times at Samp,” Eder told the club’s official website.

“We’ll get out of it by being together, above all with work. Leave the transfer market aside, we must only think of the pitch.”

Samp face Napoli this weekend, and the Italian international is expecting a difficult test against the League leaders.

“Napoli are proving to be a very strong team, they’ve stayed top of the table. It’s a difficult game, but we have to make up for the loss to Carpi, which stings so much.

“[Gonzalo] Higuain is the phenomenon of our League, a complete striker, one of the top five strikers in the world.

“We can’t talk of a match between Eder and Higuain, but between Sampdoria and Napoli.”
