Following last night’s reports of a muscular injury, it’s expected Edin Dzeko will be left out of the Roma squad to face Real Madrid.

The Bosnian striker pulled up in yesterday’s training session, but it was reported that he’d be monitored ahead of tonight’s game.

Now though Sky is reporting that Dzeko won’t be risked, and Patrik Schick will play instead.

The Czech international has struggled since joining the Giallorossi, but hasn’t had many opportunities to play through the the middle, which is his preferred position.

There is some doubt about which formation Coach Eusebio Di Francesco will choose, with different newspapers predicting either 4-2-3-1 or 3-4-3.

Probable Roma formation: Olsen; Santon, Manolas, Fazio, Kolarov; Cristante, Nzonzi; Florenzi, Zaniolo, El Shaarawy; Schick

OR

Olsen; Fazio, Manolas, Juan Jesus; Florenzi, Cristante, Nzonzi, Kolarov; Under, Schick, El Shaarawy
