SportItalia journalist Alfredo Pedulla reports the Bosnian captain could be on his way out this winter.

The report reveals Inter are not in the race, but Juventus could return for the veteran, as they missed out on the 34-year-old last summer and opted to sign Alvaro Morata on loan from Atletico Madrid.

A move abroad could also be an alternative for Dzeko, who has spent four and a half seasons at the Olimpico.

Dzeko has scored seven goals in 15 Serie A games this term, but La Gazzetta dello Sport revealed the striker confronted the Portuguese coach over the sacking of team manager Gianluca Gomber.

Dzeko and Lorenzo Pellegrini reportedly spoke on behalf of the squad, demanding the return of Gombar and discussed the recent poor results and tactical problems with coach Fonseca.

Fonseca’s future at the Giallorossi is reportedly hanging by a thread and he needs a win against Spezia in Serie A tomorrow, but Roma could be forced to choose between him or their captain.

According to La Repubblica, there are more reasons why Dezko and Fonseca have a ‘difficult and tense’ relationship, and the other would be that the former Manchester City player questioned the tactician after the defeat to Sevilla in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

In addition to that, Dzeko is aware Fonseca gave a green light for his sale last summer, when the veteran was linked with Juventus and Arek Milik had been lined up as his replacement.

Fonseca said Dzeko is injured after having received a knock in the last game and will therefore be unavailable against Spezia tomorrow, but SportItalia claims the star striker could be on his way, unless Fonseca leaves first.
