Reports in Italy now agree Paulo Dybala’s proposed transfer to Tottenham Hotspur is currently off.

Goal.com and Gazzetta dello Sport both previously claimed there was still a possibility Dybala could join Tottenham.

However, La Gazzetta now concedes Juve’s desire to no longer sell, coupled with image rights and personal terms, has put pay to the move.

Calciomercato.com adds a meeting with the forward’s representatives did not prove fruitful, opening the door to Paris Saint-Germain and Inter.

The Evening Standard, meanwhile, has shed some more light on the situation.

As per its chief Spurs correspondent, the problem lies with the Argentine’s image rights being owned by the Malta-based Star Image Company.

Star Image also happens to belong to Dybala’s former agent Pierpaolo Triulzi, who is demanding a ‘multi-million’ fee to release the rights.

That explains why a possible loan with an option to buy would have been explored as the issue could then have been resolved at a later date.

For that reason, the newspaper is refusing to confirm a transfer is dead in the water, as unlikely as one may be.
