The striker admitted in an interview with Rete Palermo that things seemed to be happening very fast for him.

“Coming to Europe was something incredible and completely unexpected,” he said. “I told myself that opportunities of this kind come once in a lifetime and I left with no second thoughts.

“I started playing in August and I was able to beat some records. Suddenly my name was in the Press.

“After an incredible season, many people were linked to me, I started earning a lot of money, it was crazy.

“It's hard to conceive that from one day to the next the best clubs of the world should be interested in a footballer who played in the Argentinian second division not too long ago.

“When you're 17, 18, it's hard to take that in. I focused on work and on football, and fortunately I was very close to my family at the time.

“My Coach Dario Franco also helped me a lot in keeping my feet on the ground, as did all of my teammates.”
