The Paulo Dybala-Tottenham Hotspur saga has taken another turn as Sky in the UK and Italy are now reporting the deal has hit difficulties.

Gazzetta dello Sport assured Spurs fans just minutes ago that BBC Sport’s claim Dybala was no longer Spurs-bound was premature.

However, Fabrizio Romano is now warning Thursday’s meeting did not yield an agreement on image rights between the two clubs and that both Juventus and the Argentine’s representatives had ‘taken a step back’.

That was then followed by Sky Sports in the UK and Italy explaining that the Old Lady would not let the 25-year-old leave without having a replacement lined up.

The issues of image rights and a medical appeared to have been addressed, but Tottenham – as it stands – are not actively negotiating for the player.

On the other hand, Goal.com’s Romeo Agresti insists the problems are linked to solely image rights and that talks have not yet completely broken down.

Finally, transfer expert Nicolo Schira only expects Dybala to leave Turin for Paris Saint-Germain or Inter, in a swap deal with Mauro Icardi.
