Fiorentina are extremely busy on the transfer market today and have reportedly agreed a €15m transfer for Sassuolo midfielder Alfred Duncan.

“It’ll be an in or out deal decided by tomorrow,” confirmed Sassuolo general manager Giovanni Carnevali.

The transfer deadline in Italy is on Friday at 19.00 GMT.

According to Sportitalia, La Gazzetta dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia, the summit was held this afternoon and the two clubs quickly worked out the terms of the deal.

He’ll sign a contract to June 2024, worth €1.5m per season plus bonuses.

The 26-year-old Ghana international spent his entire playing career in Italy, starting from the Inter academy in 2010, going on to Livorno, Sampdoria and since the summer of 2015 at Sassuolo.

A rugged midfielder, he has contributed one goal and five assists in 13 Serie A games this season.

Duncan already worked with coach Beppe Iachini at Sassuolo in 2017-18.

Fiorentina are being very active on the market today, also doing deals with Genoa for striker Christian Kouame and pushing Napoli and Inter to get Hellas Verona midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
