Fiorentina new boy Bobby Duncan has thanked Liverpool for ‘special memories’, despite the acrimonious nature of his departure.

Duncan’s agent attacked Liverpool for ‘bullying’ Duncan, keeping him ‘against his will’ and damaging his mental health in a strongly-worded statement last week.

Duncan’s agent attacked Liverpool for ‘bullying’ Duncan, keeping him ‘against his will’ and damaging his mental health in a strongly-worded statement last week.

The 18-year-old completed a move to Fiorentina on deadline day, but he made it clear he was only grateful to the Reds of helping him develop as a player.

“I want to thank everybody at Liverpool from the coaches, staff and players for contributing in my development at the club I move on with special memories… Thank you,” he tweeted.

The England youth striker scored 32 goals for Liverpool’s Under-18 team last season and is the cousin of Anfield legend Steven Gerrard.
