Andrea Dossena is unconcerned about Napoli’s future without Ezequiel Lavezzi, because he believes that Goran Pandev is better.

Lavezzi is set for a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer transfer window, whilst Pandev, who spent last season on loan at San Paolo, has just had his transfer to Napoli made permanent.

For Pandev’s teammate Dossena, that is reassurance enough for the Vesuviani going forward, should Lavezzi leave.

“For me, Pocho was a player who played outside of our system, but I have always said that the more complete player is Pandev,” declared the left-sided wing-back on Radio Marte.

“He scores goals, assists, has the experience and has won things at the highest level.”

The former Liverpool man also had a declaration with regards rumours about his future at the club.

“I’ve always felt a part of this group and this project. I have never had any contact with the club since the Coppa Italia final.

“I’ve got the call for pre-season and am counting on remaining in Naples for another season.

“Our ambitions? We are accustomed to not looking very far at Napoli. The Coppa Italia was a goal we wanted to bring home and we did that.

“Now, as we have shown before, we could challenge up ahead in the League.”
