Milan and Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is one of the most valuable Serie A players and now has a high school diploma too.

The 19-year-old has been a top flight regular at San Siro since the age of 16 and found it tough to balance a high-profile playing career with his studies.

He was criticised by some politicians last year when postponing his exams in the wake of Italy’s participation in the European Under-21 Championship.

As Italy failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, he was able to sit his high school exams this summer.
