This has been a very tough week for the Ducali, who missed a deadline to pay outstanding taxes and wages, so will be docked at least one point.

“Our only objective is to win tomorrow’s game,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“We can do little for the other issues, so we have to pick up points and improve our position in the table. We must not listen to everything that is happening outside of the pitch.

“We know that we are playing a side who have our same target, which is safety from relegation. This is a glorious club and we can only try to contribute by ensuring we stay in Serie A and help give the club a future.”

This week the team released a group statement on the situation, promising to give heart and soul for Parma.

“President Ghirardi spoke to the squad and we thank him. He has done something positive, made sure everyone was paid eventually and deserves respect. It’s too easy for some to talk with other people’s money.

“Now we have the ball. We must show a different side to the team than the one we saw against Juventus” data-scaytid=”8″>Juventus, as we cannot be that side that lost 7-0. We must concentrate and emerge from this situation.

“I am not just looking at the psychological aspect now, as I’ve been dealing with this for three years now.”

Donadoni had more bad news to deliver, as goalkeeper Antonio Mirante, captain Alessandro Lucarelli and midfielder Afriyie Acquah have not been training regularly due to injury.

“The players must focus on honouring their profession and not necessarily the Parma jersey. Who do you care about the most? Yourself, obviously. That’s the only way to give your best and love the others wearing the same shirt.”
