Parma boss Roberto Donadoni is hoping his side can repeat their Juventus performance when they take on Napoli – but he wants a different result.

The Gialloblu were defeated by the Old Lady after Paul Pogba netted the only goal of the game in the 77th minute.

“It is motivating to play against such an opponent as Napoli,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“We need to use every weapon at our disposal, those that allowed us to keep up with Juventus. We may be able to close the gap in technique by making the most of our characteristics.

“A team reaches their maturity when it faces every match with the same determination and the same identity.

“We are missing some points in the table and now we need to get them back on the pitch…”

Donadoni though has a strong admiration for what Napoli are doing, a club which he has bossed in the past.

“They are a reality of the Italian game, a great outfit,” he added.

“The arrival of Gonzalo Higuain means that Napoli want to continue in their chase for success. The Argentine is a great player and a protagonist for his country.”

Parma are joint tenth in the table after picking up 13 points from 12 games so far.
