"Our objective is survival," Donadoni told Radio anch'io lo Sport. "Our job is that of imposing ourselves to face every game with dedication like we did yesterday against a great Lazio.

"Ours is a team made up of good players who recognise their own abilities. There is the desire to improve and this spirit makes us cohesive.

"If our position in the table gives us a certain tranquility then the pressures are inferior.

"I arrived here with the club in an inadequate position. Now we have overcome the situation, but we must keep our feet on the ground.

"The positive note is that we have faced the games with the consciousness of being able to play football and the results have shown that.

"Our objective is survival, but it's not as if once we realise it we'll pull the oars into the boat.

"The word give up doesn't exist because I have too much respect for my job and the players available to me."
