Roberto Donadoni acknowledges his Parma position is in doubt after four straight defeats and a fan protest.

The Ducali were beaten 1-0 by Atalanta in a relegation dogfight this afternoon and are bottom of the Serie A table.

Fans were furious and demanded the players come back out on to the pitch after their shower for a face-to-face confrontation with the travelling supporters.

“Is my bench at risk? I don’t want to discuss that. As long as I am Coach of Parma I’ll try to give my best, because I believe we can turn this situation around,” Donadoni told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Once again today an error in defence cost us the points. We must roll our sleeves up, because the present says we are not up to the task and therefore we need to give more than we have done so far.

“We cannot think about last season, because situations and players have changed. Unfortunately injuries are also persecuting us and this is why we are often forced into making certain choices.

“We do often make individual mistakes, but we mustn’t blame anyone, as otherwise it’ll become like passing the buck and that must not happen.”
