Diawara has yet to make an appearance for Napoli since his €13m arrival from Bologna last month, but Daniele Piraino insists the Partenopei will not have an unhappy player on their hands if the youngster does not feature.

“Napoli’s an important club and it’s certainly not San Marino, so staying on the bench for a few games isn’t a problem,” the representative told ItaSportPress.

“It’s clear that he wants to play to repay the Coach’s faith and the club for making an important investment, but Sarri knows when to use him.

“The lad can’t wait to play, but the Coach will decide. If he’s sent onto the field tomorrow, it’ll be an opportunity to showcase himself and help out the team.

“In hindsight, we’d always make the same choice of signing for Napoli, and it seems clear to me that Amadou is happy to have reached the slopes of the Vesuvius.

“He has settled in very well and has a good relationship with the fans, Sarri and all the technical staff.”
