“Even if a big club came calling in January, I would not accept. I have no intention of leaving,” Diamanti told For Men magazine in Italy.

“Playing with this jersey I earned myself a call-up to Euro 2012, so I am truly very happy to have stayed here.

“I want to continue playing for Bologna so we can achieve safety as soon as possible and confirm my place in the Nazionale.

“I am happy with Alberto Gilardino’s arrival, as talented players are always useful.”
