Marco Di Vaio has announced that the players will serve a notice of default against Bologna for the failure to pay their wages.

Bologna is currently up for sale after Sergio Porcedda agreed to relinquish the club just months after his takeover.

His financial mismanagement of Bologna prompted the FIGC to levy a one-point penalty against the team in Serie A.

"All the players will take their wages when a new owner arrives," Di Vaio explained.

"The decision has been made to force the issue and to understand who really wants to help Bologna and who instead just wants their picture in the paper."
