Antonio Di Natale described Udinese’s historic victory in Liverpool as “a moment of great joy for our big family.”

The Friulani achieved something extraordinary by fighting back in the second half to conquer Anfield 3-2.

“It is a moment of great joy for our big family, because that’s what we are at Udinese,” smiled the hitman.

“All of us, players, fans, coaching staff and club, are a big family and we wanted to do well here against an important team like Liverpool.”

It was a pointed comment and hug for Coach Francesco Guidolin after Di Natale was frozen out on Sunday over a locker room row.

“Why did I slide on my knees in front of the fans? They are our supporters and it was a fun moment. They give us so much.

“The team played a great game against a prestigious club.”
