“Luca Mazzitelli has flu, some others like Lorenzo Pellegrini are not at their best, but will be able to play anyway. We’ll see between tonight and tomorrow which players I can put on the pitch,” sighed the Coach in his Press conference.

“I will try to change as little as possible, but the fact is I must make do with what I’ve got. It’s a delicate game for us and Cagliari, who have conceded a lot of goals and yet are very dangerous in attack, picking up most of their points at home.
“We must be stronger than the difficulties we’re facing right now.”
It is a desperate situation, as Sassuolo make the trip without Domenico Berardi, Timo Letschert, Matteo Politano, Alfred Duncan, Paolo Cannavaro, Davide Biondini, Francesco Magnanelli, Marcello Gazzola and Simone Missiroli.
“I don’t want the players to use this as an alibi. We might have different objectives to how we started the season, but you cannot take anything for granted in football.
“We want to end the year on a high to then have a more relaxed Christmas with our families. The lads must shake off this pressure, as I’ll take it on my own shoulders.
“Admittedly we’re missing some of the more experienced players and confidence is therefore at a premium.”
