Coach Domenico Di Carlo believes only great speed of execution can defeat Genoa, while Cesena can't give up on safety.

The Cavallucci Marini are eight points behind Atalanta in the safe zone and will need a very strong season finale to escape relegation, but the 51-year-old believes the target is not out of reach if they analyse their adversaries one at a time.

“The great difference compared to last Saturday's game against Sampdoria is going to be pace,” he said in the Press conference ahead of today's game.

“The great difference compared to last Saturday's game against Sampdoria is going to be pace,” he said in the Press conference ahead of today's game.

“[Coach Gian Piero] Gasperini's team becomes very aggressive when they attack. We'll have to be quick with our heads, and quick with our feet. Our group did a lot of work to prepare for this game.

“To earn points we'll always have to run faster than the others, taking to the pitch with attitude and character.”

Di Carlo was also asked about the conditions of his squad.

“[Franco] Brienza recovered from his injury. [Francesco] Renzetti is at 100 per cent. [Carlos] Carbonero is coming back from his suspension.

“A comparison between our strikers? [Genoa's Diego] Perotti is a speedy player who knows how to dribble, but our Brienza is decisive too.

“As for the matter of safety, let's think of our own mentality and our team. We must will for it to happen.”
