Several Juventus players celebrated their win over Torino on social media, saying that ‘Turin is black and white’, but Brian Bayeye infuriated the Granata fans because of a picture with Paul Pogba.
The Old Lady secured a 4-2 win over their city rivals on Tuesday night, climbing to the seventh place in Serie A. Pogba made his season debut, coming off the bench as a substitute in the second half and playing his first competitive match in almost one year.
Torino midfielder Bayeye seems to be among the fans of the France international and swapped his shirt with his compatriot after the final whistle, posting the picture on Instagram.
It wasn’t a smart move as several Torino fans have reacted angrily on social media, accusing the player of not caring about the outcome of the most important match of the year for them.
The mood on the other side of Turin was very different as many Juventus players celebrated their victory on social media.
Manuel Locatelli posted a black and white picture of Turin’s iconic Mole Antonelliana, while Nicolò Fagioli, a product of Juventus’ academy, wrote, ‘Turin was and is…’ joking about a chant of Granata supporters claiming the city belongs to their colours.
Leonardo Bonucci also said “Turin is once again black and white.”
