Despite being trapped in a relegation battle, it appears Atalanta are willing to sell the striker, with Tuttomercatoweb reporting that he’ll join Independent on Monday on a two-and-a-half year contract.

The website reports that a deal has already been agreed, with Denis being freed from his contract, but the forward wants to say goodbye to the club’s fans after Saturday’s game with Sassuolo.

That means the transfer will not go through until transfer deadline day on Monday.

Denis has already had a successful spell with El Rojo, scoring 37 goals in 70 games between 2006 and 2008.
