Alessandro Del Piero is hopeful former club Juventus will qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League.

The Old Lady are bottom of their group having collected three points from four games, but the 2-2 draw with Real Madrid last night coincided with Galatasaray’s 1-0 loss at Copenhagen.

“I still haven’t watched the game, but I’ve taped it,” the Sydney FC player told Radio RTL on Wednesday. “It’s not easy to find the time when you have two small children.

“I have followed the reaction to the match though and the result, considering the Galatasaray score, is positive.

“Juventus still have a great chance of getting through.”

The Old Lady will finish second with two wins from their final two games. Should Galatasaray fail to win at Real, then a win against Copenhagen and a draw in Istanbul would be enough for the Italians.
