Sassuolo President Giorgio Squinzi warns they “have no need” to sell Gregoire Defrel to Roma.
The Giallorossi have been trying to bring the forward in on loan with an obligation to buy, but so far there has been no breakthrough in the talks.
“Our aim is to keep all of our best players, Defrel included,” Squinzi insisted, speaking to Tuttomercatoweb.

“Anything can happen in football, that’s obvious, but that’s what we want. I’ll say one important thing: Sassuolo have no financial problems, and have no need to sell him.
“We don’t want to weaken ourselves.”
Meanwhile, Premium Sport is reporting that another meeting is scheduled between the two clubs, but finding a deal will be difficult.
Roma will officially complete the signing of Clement Grenier tomorrow, but it's not clear if his arrival would preclude Defrel's signing.
