Roma directors Tiago Pinto and Ryan Friedkin will sit down for another meeting with their Chelsea counterparts today as they work to agree a deal for Romelu Lukaku.

The pair flew to London yesterday to meet with the Blues following an initial exploratory phone call between Giallorossi president Dan Friedkin and Todd Boehly’s representatives.

Pinto and Friedkin watched Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Luton Town at Stamford Bridge before going to dinner with the Premier League side’s management, where a deal for Lukaku was discussed.

As detailed by Gianluca Di Marzio, yesterday’s meeting between the two parties went well and further talks will be held this morning in London.

Pinto and Friedkin are expected to remain in the English capital until tomorrow, intent on closing out a deal with Chelsea for Lukaku, and the elder Friedkin is in constant contact with Boehly.

The Giallorossi are looking to sign the Chelsea outcast on a loan deal, possibly costing around €10m, with a possible buy option attached. Lukaku has already been handed an official contract offer and the Blues are expected to pay a portion of his salary.
