The club held a summit today over the future of their current Coach, as results so far this season have been disappointing and Iachini's bench looks at risk.

“I told Iachini that we must save ourselves,” said Zamparini at the end of the meeting, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio.

“He said he was confident. But I told him that if we lost to Chievo I'd have to make some decisions, or else they'll kill me in Palermo.

“I also told him to hold tight until January, as there will be new reinforcements in the winter.”

Di Marzio reports that Zamparini as well as Iachini and sporting director Manuel Gerolin walked out of the meeting looking relaxed, with the President even posing for a few snaps with the supporters.
