Coach Roberto De Zerbi feels Palermo are already ‘his team’ but wants his players to show hunger for success.

The 37-year-old is in his first season as a Serie A boss but has won just once in his opening six League matches with the Rosaneri.

Despite this, the rookie tactician is pleased with the way his team are responding to his methods ahead of Sunday’s game at Sampdoria.

The 37-year-old is in his first season as a Serie A boss but has won just once in his opening six League matches with the Rosaneri.

Despite this, the rookie tactician is pleased with the way his team are responding to his methods ahead of Sunday’s game at Sampdoria.

“We need to work on everything,” De Zerbi said at a Press conference. “I am pleased with how the team is following me, it is a group that wants to learn and I can say that I feel the team is already mine.

“Our growth is not constant but there must be hunger and ruthlessness. When our opponents think of Palermo they need to not know how to prepare for us.”
