“It’s disappointing, because we were in total control of the first half and deserved to have more than a 1-0 lead,” De Zerbi told Sky Sport Italia.

“We’ve got to be more clinical, because we cannot keep putting in these good performances and finishing up empty-handed. We needed the perfect performance to beat Napoli and we did that in the first half.

“It’s crucial to keep alert to the very end, to cut off the passing channels and block the gaps. I don’t know if some people here don’t care about the difference between a win and a draw, or a draw and a defeat, but if we don’t care about results, we are in the wrong business.

“Let us remember here that the performance, the style of football is a way of getting the result, it’s not there for the sake of it. If it doesn’t lead to a result, then it’s futile.”
