Roberto De Zerbi “still hasn’t understood that Serie A isn’t Serie C” but will be given time, according to Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini.
Palermo have lost four of their last five games under De Zerbi and not won since mid-September, but while Zamparini criticised his Coach for not adapting to the Italian top flight quickly enough, he will spare pulling the trigger on the Neapolitan.
“He’s a young Coach who still hasn’t understood that Serie A isn’t Serie C,” the 75-year-old told Stadionews.

“In C, out of 10 shots from outside the box, one goes in. In A, clubs score with every two shots.
“Still, we have to give him time. I also saw Palermo play [good] football against Crotone, Sampdoria and in Bergamo.
“We expect to go back to playing that type of football.”
