Milan defender Mattia De Sciglio has insisted that the Rossoneri will draw inspiration from their win over Barcelona when they face Inter this weekend.

The Diavolo play their city rivals in the Derby della Madonnina this Sunday, and the 20-year-old has admitted that the Champions League win over the Spanish side gives them confidence going into the League clash.

“The Derby is a great game,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “It's the sort of match that every kid dreams of playing in.

“We know that it won't be an easy match, but if we play like we did on Wednesday, we will do well.

“The win over Barca gave us a great morale boost, and has shown that the initial blip we had at the start of the season, was just that.

“Inter are not having the best of times at the moment, but you can never make predictions for the Derby. They will have a great desire to win.”

The 20-year-old also commented on the impact Mario Balotelli has had on the side, as well as the rumours that Marco Verratti could sign from Paris Saint-Germain.

“Balotelli is a quiet lad. He has exceptional quality and has helped us enormously in the games he has played in.

“Verratti? I would love it if he joined,” De Sciglio concluded.
