According to Sky Sport Italia, he worked out the final details of the contract and is ready to make the journey to Buenos Aires this weekend.
The midfielder turns 36 later this month and is a free agent after Roma opted not to give him another contract.
De Rossi had been sorely tempted by retirement, but will get the opportunity to make a dream come true by joining Boca Juniors and playing at the Bombonera.
