Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis assures a new stadium will help keep Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani at the club.

The patron and Hollywood mogul presented plans to build a new arena to replace the Stadio San Paolo.

It will take four years to complete the work in the Ponticelli area of Naples.

“Walter Mazzarri has a year left on his contract and he will stay,” De Laurentiis told Radio Deejay ahead of tonight’s match with Inter.

“The same goes for Cavani, that is absolutely not up for debate, while we are discussing the renewal with Marek Hamsik.

“As for Lavezzi, he is our symbol. His agent has assured me that he is not going anywhere. As long as the situation doesn’t become a farce, then he will stay.

“I’d also like to make it clear that Napoli do not force anyone to stay against their will.”
