Milan talent Charles De Ketelaere is closing in a move to Atalanta and will meet with the club today to discuss Gian Piero Gasperini’s project.

The 22-year-old Belgian forward failed to impress in his debut season in the Lombardy capital, only providing one assist across 40 total appearances following his €36m move from Club Brugge 12 months ago.

Milan and Atalanta have agreed to the terms of a deal for De Ketelaere – a €3m loan with a €23m buy option attached. No buy-back option has been included, but a 10% future resale clause has been attached. La Dea will pay his €2.7m net per season wages.

Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com details how De Ketelaere and his entourage will meet with Atalanta today to discuss the move and Gasperini’s project in Bergamo.

La Dea are in a hurry and want to close out the deal as soon as possible. The 22-year-old is angling towards accepting their offer, despite the interest from Fulham and Real Sociedad.

Should the green light be given, De Ketelaere’s move to Atalanta could be completed in the coming days.
