Jonathan de Guzman “realised there’s no point staying at Napoli and is working for January,” confirmed his agent.

The Dutch international was told over the summer that he was not part of Maurizio Sarri’s tactical plans, but a transfer to Bournemouth fell through at the last minute.

He has spent the entire campaign in the stands, not even being called up for the bench.

“We are working for January,” agent Fabio Parisi told Radio Kiss Kiss.
