The Elefanti are propping up the table, but go into the match with Hellas Verona at the weekend knowing that three points could see them level with Bologna in 19th.

“Confidence, strength and conviction,” he told gathered reporters. “I’ve been working on these three concepts all week.

“We’ve put a strong emphasis on the psychological aspect of the game.

“Against Verona it’s going to be important to stay calm and not hurry our game – the match lasts 90 minutes.

“Verona are enjoying one of their best seasons ever, but I trust that my men can win.”
