Genoa have reportedly slammed the door shut on Fiorentina, West Ham United and others, as Albert Gudmundsson will not be sold mid-season.

The transfer deadline is this evening at 19.00 GMT in Italy and it is down to the final hours of the window.

According to DAZN, Fiorentina had raised their offer again to €24m in order to convince Genoa to part with the Iceland international in the winter session.

However, despite the increasing proposals from the Viola and also strong interest from West Ham United in the Premier League, Genoa are standing firm.

Fiorentina had hoped to push the Grifone into a move after the arrival of striker Vitinha from Olympique Marseille, on loan with option to buy for €25m.

However, the club will not let Gudmundsson leave mid-season, perhaps hoping to spark a more lucrative bidding war over the summer.

The 26-year-old scored 11 goals and provided three assists in 22 competitive games for Genoa so far this season.
