“It is clear that the club must intervene,” D’Aversa told Sky Sport when asked about possible new signings in January.

“I was clear even before I returned here. The sooner they arrive, the sooner we can gain survival.

“The longer we wait, the more difficulties we’ll face," he added.

“As far as I am concerned, I want [Jasmin] Kurtic to stay, that being said, I am an employee and I coach those who are available.

“I gave some guidelines, but it is up to the club to make the last decision. For me, Kurtic should not leave.”
