“After the first three games, if we analyse them carefully, then we see that Parma can compete with anyone, including Inter,” said D’Aversa in his Press conference.

“We’re missing something in terms of points, because we need to limit the errors we make and bring home the result. We’re satisfied with the performances, but there’s a lot of work to be done.”

Inter are missing Lautaro Martinez and could also rest Mauro Icardi, leaving Keita Balde Diao as the centre-forward.

“We mustn’t let ourselves be influenced by that. Inter have many top stars and whoever steps on to the field will be up to the task. Inter tried quite a few different systems over the summer, so if Icardi doesn’t play, there will be someone else very strong.”

Parma have defender Alessandro Bastoni – who is on loan from Inter – back after knee surgery, with Amato Ciciretti and Luca Siligardi also returning.

Alberto Grassi and Jacopo Dezi are ruled out of the trip to San Siro.

Parma squad for Inter: Bagheria, Frattali, Sepe; Bruno Alves, Bastoni, Dimarco, Gagliolo, Gazzola, Gobbi, Iacoponi, Sierralta; Barillà, Deiola, Rigoni, Stulac; Ceravolo, Ciciretti, Da Cruz, Di Gaudio, Gervinho, Inglese, Siligardi, Sprocati
