Lega Serie A President Paolo Dal Pino is reportedly set to sue Inter President Steven Zhang after the Nerazzurri CEO called Dal Pino “a clown”.

Zhang took to Instagram several days ago and slammed Dal Pino’s handling of the league fixtures in light of the Coronavirus, calling him “a clown.”

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Lega Serie A chief isn’t prepared to let Zhang’s comments slide, and could file a lawsuit.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Lega Serie A chief isn’t prepared to let Zhang’s comments slide, and could file a lawsuit.

The Roman daily speculates that Zhang and Inter could be fined as much as €50,000 apiece for the outburst, and a potential short-term ban for Zhang from his position as CEO of Inter.

Additionally, Dal Pino also intends to file a libel lawsuit against Zhang due to his comments.

Zhang was unrepentant about his comments in an interview with CNN on Thursday, saying, “When it comes to public safety, strong words are never too strong.”
