Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri says Juan Cuadrado was “upset” but will be a substitute against Palermo as Paulo Dybala “could start on the bench”.

Cuadrado was tipped to start at Palermo after his absence in the victory over Cagliari midweek, but Allegri has now confirmed reports of a disagreement with the Colombian in training, although he asked to leave as opposed to storm out.

“From the beginning no, but maybe in the match,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“He did all the training the other day and asked me to go home because he was upset, so I decided to go along with him, but he’s back now and it’s all good.”

On the topic of Dybala, Allegri added: “Can he rest? After a year here growing, now it’s now more difficult.

“He is having good games and has more attention from opponents, they know him.

“He must stay calm, he’s played a lot of matches and could start on the bench.”
