Crotone are on track to get the Stadio Scida ready for the Serie A home fixture against Palermo on September 18.
This is Crotone’s first every top flight campaign and the tiny Calabrian club did not expect to earn automatic promotion, finishing second in Serie B last season.
The Stadio Scida required restructuring work to bring it up to code, meaning their first home game against Genoa on August 28 will be hosted by Pescara’s Stadio Adriatico.

It’s reported the works are on target to be ready for the September 18 home tie with Palermo, which is expected to be a very early relegation dogfight.
There are already 3,000 season tickets sold, but they have to be limited or 90 per cent of the stands will be filled by Crotone regulars.
