The former Crociati striker was confirmed as the new man in charge of the youth team last week, but today was officially presented to the Press.

And the 39-year-old, who had two spells as a player at Ennio Tardini, can’t wait to work with the kids.

“Coming home has given me great satisfaction,” he told reporters.

“I want to thank Parma for giving me this opportunity. My kids have to understand that they are at a big club.

“I spoke with the club a few months ago about this, and when they came in with an offer I accepted straight away.

“I like the idea of being in charge of such a great project at an important moment in this club’s history.”
