There were 119 deaths related to COVID-19 in Italy over the last 24 hours, while 441 of the 669 new active cases are in the Lombardy region.

Another 2,120 people made a full recovery, while there were 669 new cases (441 of them in Lombardy), meaning the number of overall active coronavirus cases dropped by 1,570 to 57,752.

There are now only 8,695 people hospitalised due to COVID-19, 572 in intensive care (-8) and 48,485 self-isolating at home with only minor symptoms.

Out of 72,410 tests taken since yesterday, only 669 came back positive, an average of 0.92 per cent.

Lombardy is increasingly dragging down all the other statistics, because other than Lombardy (441) and Piedmont (60), all the other regions registered under 50 new cases in 24 hours.

In fact, out of 21 regions, 17 of them have under 20 new cases and five have zero.
