There were another 87 coronavirus deaths in Italy on Friday, but five regions reported no new cases.

The regions with no new cases are Abruzzo, Umbria, Valle d’Aosta, Calabria and Basilicata, as well as the province of Bolzano.

Only 0.7 percent of tests in the last 24 hours were positive, although the rate of infection in Lombardy (68%) remains relatively high.

As of Friday, there have been 232,248 positive tests of COVID-19 (+516), with 46,175 of them currently active (-1,811).

As of Friday, there have been 232,248 positive tests of COVID-19 (+516), with 46,175 of them currently active (-1,811).

A total of 152,844 people have recovered (+2,240) and 33,229 have died.

Out of the 46,175 active cases, 38,606 are in self-isolation (-1,512), 7,094 are in hospital with symptoms (-285) and 475 are in intensive care (-14).

There have now been 3,482,253 tests, an increase of 72,135 since yesterday.
